Join the The Department of Adventure with these sweet T's hand screened for us by a real person in Pennsylvania.
They feature the Department of Adventure on the back and a little lizard hanging out on your right hip. How hip is that? The men's version is orange-orange and the women's is more rose-orange. Both are slightly heathered. The ink is laid down in purple, of course.
The men's is a Next Level crewneck 60/40 cotton/polyester; women's is a slim fit BELLA+CANVAS Tri-blend (50% poly, 25% cotton, 25% rayon)
Did we mention hand screened? That's right, by Clayton himself at Buttery Printwear in West Chester, PA. Get your Lizard on!
BELLA+CANVAS uses sustainable manufacturing processes with Blue Sign certified dyes, efficient dye houses that adhere to the state of California’s EPA regulations around waste water treatment and usage, and cutting facilities in Los Angeles that run on partial solar power with comprehensive recycling programs for paper waste and fabric scraps.
NOTE: Justine says the women's T's are cut on the small size, so you may want to order up a size. If you want to exchange your T for another size we can do that at no charge - just send it back to us with a note on what size you want.
A Lizard community favorite for fall and winter. Our fleece Lizard Hat has a embroidered Purple Lizard to help you make any spot a lizard spot! This super-soft, super warm hat is our favorite headgear when the temperatures start to fall and hunting season opens.
This hat is not only warm, it's pretty darn helpful. It will help ensure that hunters see you when you're outside. On some public lands it is a requirement that everyone has to wear orange in hunting season (check the rules in your State). While this hat alone may not satisfy the minimum orange square inch requirement - it's a good start. These are really soft and warm, they are also a great choice to be more visible when walking or running on the road as the days get shorter.

As any outdoor enthusiast knows, adventure often calls for a super sturdy bag with lots room for stuff that keeps us prepared and comfortable. Excursions, camping trips, road trips, beach days, impromptu picnics, even that last minute run for provisions to the grocery store - the Lizard Tote does them in classic Lizard style.
This is a darn substantial bag, built from burly 1000D Cordura with two comfy webbing handles which sling over a shoulder for long hauls. Large front pocket for quick access to keys or often used items... like your Lizard Maps!
Everybody has stuff... and this will carry a lot of stuff!
The Lizard Tote may be the last tote you ever need. It makes a great road trip bag, race kit bag, camping tote, around town bag, airport carry on bag, overnight bag or shopping bag. Basically, if you want to bring it with you, this bag will probably do the job.
20" Wide, 16" deep and 6" thick
Made in Pennsylvania by real live people working in a 100% solar powered building in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, right smack in the middle of the Moshannon-Quehanna Lizard Map! How cool is that? You can check them out here.
The Perfect Holiday Gift for all the Kids in your life - of any age.
This is the very special book that helped to inspire Purple Lizard Maps.
One evening Harold decides to go for a walk in the moonlight. Armed only with an oversize purple crayon, young Harold draws himself a landscape full of wonder and excitement.
Harold and his trusty crayon travel through woods and across seas and past dragons before returning to bed, safe and sound. Full of funny twists and surprises, this charming story shows just how far your imagination can take you.
Harold and the Purple Crayon was first published in 1955. Purple Lizard's founder, Michael Hermann, was born 9 years later and at some point this book entered his life and quite possibly was instrumental in guiding him to create Purple Lizard Maps 42 years later. When asked about the origin of the name Purple Lizard Michael often recalls the influence this book - especially the part where Harold wants to walk in the forest, so he takes his purple crayon and draws a forest. Michael wonders if his early love of drawing, being outside, the color purple, and his eventual career in mapmaking all root back to this beautiful story.
The well loved and dog-eared copy of Harold and Purple Crayon has stayed with Michael all these years and it is displayed on a shelf in the Purple Lizard offices today.
We wanted to share this special book with the Lizard Maps community. We offer the modern hardcover Library Edition. This printing is 8 x 6.5 inches with a sturdy hardcover binding and separate book cover. This is the highest quality version HarperCollins publishes. We just adore it and think you will too.
We hope this book inspires you as much as it does us. The perfect gift for future generations of artists, dreamers, and maybe a few mapmakers.
