Just like two days off are better than one, two Lizard Maps are better than one!
Our Dolly Sods-Seneca Rocks and the Elkins - Otter Creek Lizard Maps cover the northern tier of Monongahela National Forest. These two maps are designed to work together, they are the same scale and overlap by an inch to help you transition east to west. And west to east, because once you dive into these amazing back roads you won't want to stop exploring!
In addition to both West Virginia Lizard Maps we'll include one of our Lizard 75 stickers - this is the Forest Service road sign for the dirt road across the high plateau of Dolly Sods Wilderness, also called the 'Road across the Sky'. When you get there you'll understand why.
Check out this blog on exploring the northern tier to get an idea of what's out there. And this is just a tiny bit!

"Getting lost and finding your way again is part of the adventure...if you are following a red line on a screen all those opportunities don't exist, they're sort of taken away." Elspeth Beard, the first British woman to travel the world by motorbike.

North of Interstate 80 is a different place. It's often referred to as the PA Wilds, which we think is a pretty good description. There are less people, less pavement, more dirt roads and more wild places. We call that a fair trade and it's where we'd rather be most days.
We've made four maps of Pennsylvania State Forests north of 80: Cook Forest-Clear Creek in western PA, Moshannon-Quehanna and Pine Creek in Central PA, and Loyalsock in eastern PA.
Cook Forest-Clear Creek also covers a section of southeastern Allegheny National Forest along the Clarion River. Moshannon-Quehanna includes Moshannon State Forest and the Quehanna Wild Area with sections of Elk State Forest. The Pine Creek Lizard Map covers much of Tioga and Tiadaghton State Forests, and Loyalsock includes all of the Loyalsock State Forest and McIntyre Wild Area.
These four maps represent some of the wildest, most remote places you can find in PA, with just enough civilization and small towns to keep you well supplied and comfortable if you choose to emerge.
Purchased separately, these four maps are $68. The Purple Lizard PA Wilds Pack is $58 and you get one of our sweet Pennsylvania State Forest Boundary Lizard Stickers along with the set.
As our friend Van Wagner tells it:
“North of 80 it ain’t the same.
I don’t know how else to put it to explain.
There’s a different tune in the air.
There’s a northern feel, that makes it real everywhere.”
Van Wagner: Singer, songwriter, teacher.

Most of our Lizard Maps are available rolled, suitable for framing or just thumbtacking on your walls. The size is 24 x 36 inches, which is a standard poster frame. You can find these in many stores in many styles, from cheap plastic to expensive gilded gold frames with glare proof glass. We suggest you split the difference and find one that works for you!
Our flat maps have also been drizzled in layers of polyurethane on tabletops, made into pleated dresses, sewn onto bags and packs, and duct taped on camper ceilings. Send us pictures of how you use yours!
Some of our maps overlap in an offset pattern, and some edge match in a North-South or East west orientation. If you have the open wall acreage you can get two copies and match 'em up.
Shipping is a flat rate of $9.00 in a US Postal Service map tube, it will be $9 for one rolled map or a dozen.
NOTE: We do not have any Cook Forest or Rincon Lizard Maps available rolled at this time.
